Megan Kawasaki-Mason
Megan Kawasaki-Mason, CFP®, CDFA®, founded NOMI to help people make thoughtful financial decisions during divorce and build a life on the other side that actually fits them.
She is naturally drawn to complicated financial questions: tracing where money came from, modeling different outcomes, spotting details that could easily be overlooked, and figuring out which variables actually matter. But the numbers are only useful if they help someone make a better decision about real life—where to live, what to keep, what to let go of, what is sustainable, and what kind of future they want to create.
Divorce can make even ordinary financial decisions feel fraught. Megan’s role is to slow the financial side down, make the tradeoffs easier to see, and help clients move from reacting to what is happening to making deliberate choices about what comes next.
Megan is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst® professional, Collaborative Divorce Professional, and trained family mediator. Her work includes divorce financial analysis, settlement modeling, separate-property analysis, executive compensation, cash-flow planning, and financial-neutral work in collaborative and mediated cases.
Outside of work, Megan’s life is considerably less orderly than her spreadsheets. She and her husband are raising Dean and Cleo alongside two dogs, Momo and Penny. She has an ever-growing collection of houseplants, almost always has a crochet project underway, and is happiest when she has time to disappear into something quiet and absorbing. She also has a tendency to research things far beyond what the original question probably required—which, fortunately, has turned out to be useful professionally.
